Fear Not

The instruction to "fear not" is found 365 times in the Bible, in a wide variety of contexts.

Fear is a natural instinct for humans. Sometimes, the energy and action produced by fear can keep people alive. But other times, fear can weaken, disable, scatter, confuse, and diffuse the better choices and actions we might have taken.

When it comes to healing, fear is never a good actor. Fear suggests that God is not present, not able, not loving, not powerful. Fear suggests that any urgency requires human agency, rather than abiding in Jesus, the vine, the source of fruitful life, the way, the truth, the life, the good shepherd.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

- Isaiah 41:10

In areas where you desire healing and wellness, what are your fears? Can you name them? Can you then present this to God as a prayer?
