Flowing Water, Healing Leaves

By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.”

- Ezekiel 47:12

Have you ever stood near flowing waters, or underneath the leaves of trees, and not in some way been nourished? God uses the waters and fruits of the earth to nourish all of creation.

In this passage, there are words we have experienced, and words of something still in the distance, far off.

By our choices and actions, we sometimes fail to be good stewards of God's earth.

Take some time to write to God, some specific things you might commit to (big or small) which could help sustain the earth, trees, and waters, so they can do their healing and fruitful work as God intended.
